When someone kills themselves people always say things like “If they really knew I loved them this wouldn’t have happened” or “they wouldn’t have done this if they loved me”.
Well sometimes it’s not like that. Sometimes you can love someone and be completely aware of those who love you, and still feel numb.
Maybe it’s just that the darkness inside is simply too overpowering, and maybe it’s not that “depression is a phase, there’s a light ahead”. Maybe it’s not a phase. Maybe it’s been here with them for so long that they just can’t shut it out anymore. Maybe what you call a phase is this persons way of life. Maybe they were born this way and this is what life handed them. I think theyve done a bloody good job so far, so applaud them for making it here. It wasn’t easy. Maybe sometimes you need to take a step back and realize people don’t think, breathe, feel, love or live the same way as you.
